I asked the Liberals a question on providing meaningful tax relief on gas and groceries and the response was from a third string Liberal minister who praised the hockey exploits of Connor McGregor, who is an Irish mixed martial arts fighter who can’t even skate. The clapping of the Liberal trained seals was so loud I couldn’t even hear his botched burn attempt, but I’m glad to see he and the Liberals who cheered on his folly are getting rightly roasted online.
Instead of trying to be cute in QP, the Liberals should get serious and use the unexpected billions in extra revenue from high oil prices to give cash strapped Canadians a bigger break at the gas pump.
