This situation with the Brunswick Creek and Ainslie Creek wildfires in the Boston Bar/North Bend area continues to evolve rapidly, with numerous evacuation alerts, orders and major road closures being announced throughout the day. I have been in contact with local officials who are on site providing information and assistance to those impacted. I have also reached out to provincial officials to determine if there are any federal resources that should be requested. There are significant resources being deployed to fight these fires, with 160 firefighters and 58 structural protection personnel, in addition to 12 helicopters and dozens of pieces of heavy equipment.
