Funding available for local streamkeepers


Chilliwack, B.C – Volunteer streamkeepers across British Columbia and the Yukon who protect and restore salmon habitat can now apply for funding through the Pacific Salmon Foundation's Community Salmon Program, announced Chilliwack-Hope MP Mark Strahl.

Canada Summer Jobs 2016 now accepting applications from employers


Chilliwack- Not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees looking to hire full-time workers for summer 2016 can now apply for funding under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program, announced Chilliwack-Hope MP Mark Strahl.

One thing you have to learn quickly as an elected official is that it is nearly impossible to make everyone happy at the same time; in fact, some of the things that you do to please one group can just as easily turn off another.
