Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, held a video conference meeting with provincial and territorial ministers of labour. Local students invited to submit designs for Canada 150 Logo


Chilliwack- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon is encouraging area post-secondary students over the age of 18 to take part in the Canada 150 Logo Design Contest.

"This is an opportunity for a young aspiring graphic designer to be part of Canadian history by designing a national logo that celebrates our country's 150th birthday," said Strahl.

Strahl highlights new measures to improve pipeline safety


Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl today highlighted proposed enhancements to Canada's world-class pipeline safety system announced by the Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Greg Rickford.

"Natural resource projects will not proceed unless they can be demonstrated to be safe for Canadians and for the environment," said Strahl. "The proposed changes the minister has announced will take an incredibly reliable and safe system and make it even better."
