Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl stood in the House of Commons today to salute Medal of Bravery recipient Shawn Nagurny:

"Mr. Speaker, on October 27, 2011, Chilliwack resident, Shawn Nagurny, along with five others, saved six people from a burning aircraft that had crash landed on a highway in Richmond British Columbia.

New tax relief measures to make life more affordable for Canadian families

Ottawa- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon highlighted a number of new tax relief measures to help make life more affordable for Canadian families with children starting in the spring of 2015.

"Our Government is keeping our commitment to help Canadian families with additional tax relief measures once we have balanced the budget." Strahl added, "With the federal budget expected to be in balance soon we are taking action to help low and middle-income families."

Fourth phase of Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnership Program opens

Chilliwack- On behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, Mark Strahl MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon is encouraging local groups to make application for funding under the fourth phase of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program (RFCPP).
